Rhythms of Africa Percussion Workshop

Free percussion workshop for students ages 11 to 14
No experience required!

Students will be immersed in a musical journey that includes ancient rhythms sprung from the souls of vibrant cultures and carried by hand and heart from Africa to the Caribbean and the Americas.  
                                    
Participants will learn percussion techniques that form the bedrock of contemporary music, in addition to learning history, geography, vocabulary, musical theory, ethnic studies and math associated with the rhythms taught.

The beloved holiday ballet that has enchanted audiences of all ages for over a century returns!  Ballet Etudes of South Florida proudly presents its 43rd Anniversary performance of The Nutcracker with international guest stars and a cast of over 100 dancers.  This magical production features lavish sets and scenery, colorful costuming, exquisite lighting, superb choreography and delightful theaterical effects.  The Nutcracker is under the direction of Artistic Director, Susana Prieto.
