[ARCHIVED] CITY OF MIRAMAR GIVES MIAMI GARDENS FOOD & WINE ATTENDEES A TASTE OF ITS COMMUNITY GARDEN

In continuing efforts to promote and raise awareness of the many programs, assets and services Miramar has to offer, The City of Miramar is partnering with the City of Miami Gardens and taking part in its 2nd annual Wine and Food Experience. This participation will showcase the fruit of the Miramar Community gardens’ labor by providing lemongrass tea samplings, visibility of this city asset, participation of 32 volunteer gardeners and provide herbs from the garden for the chefs to utilize in the many samplings that will be prepared for attendees of the Wine and Food Experience.

“The City of Miramar’s participation via the garden is exactly the kind of opportunity that exercises a sense of community and at the same time can share what’s great about it as well” stated Kathleen Woods-Richardson, City of Miramar’s City Manager.
