The City of Miramar held a Business Assistance Event at its Multi-Service Complex (6700 Miramar Parkway) on Monday, December 5, 2016. The event exchanged key information with the city’s small business community on programs that correspond with support for their growth, funding and planning.
Event highlights included briefings on city small business assistance city programs like Micro-loans for rehabilitation and seed funding; and extended to knowledge of county and state programs provided by CareerSource Broward and those of city affiliate organizations like the Miramar Pembroke Pines Chamber of Commerce. Attendees were also introduced to a business who successfully benefited from funding through a City program; and were exposed to new marketing and public relations initiatives that can be accessed via Miramar TV (Comcast Channel 78), Miramar Radio App, social media and The City’s affinity card (MIRAMAR YOU CARD) just because they are Right Here In Miramar!™
Overall, the Business Assistance Event was well received by more than 45+ budding businesses at various stages of their companies. The City intends to try this outreach more frequently as a means to extend support to small businesses of all types as a means of investing in their progress.
