[ARCHIVED] CITY OF MIRAMAR POISED TO ACCEPT 2017 PUBLIC ORGANIZATION OF YEAR AWARD

The City of Miramar will receive the South Florida Chapter of American Society of Public Administrators (“ASPA”) (“THE SOCIETY”) prestigious honor of being its 2017 Public Organization of the Year.


This award is given by the South Florida Chapter of ASPA to organizations that exemplify excellence in public service through professionalism, leadership and integrity.   The President of ASPA South Florida Chapter, Agatha Caraballo, PhD commented on the City of Miramar’s achievement noting, “We commend the City of Miramar for its notable contributions in the area of public service and extend our sincere congratulations on earning this recognition.”


City of Miramar Mayor Wayne Messam acknowledged, “The City of Miramar is actively engaged in the responsibility to administer an organization that is focused and forward thinking in government.  The City’ of Miramar’s acceptance of the Florida Chapter of ASPA’s 2017 Public Organization of the Year award will be an honor credited to that effort.”


The City of Miramar will receive this award at ASPA South Florida Annual Awards Reception at Jungle Island in Miami on Thursday, June 22, 2017 from 6-9pm.
