The City of Miramar held a Special Budget Hearing at 5:01 p.m., September 27, 2018 to adopt the City’s 2017-18 Budget at its 2nd reading. The passing of the 2017-18 budget has solidified no change in the millage rate keeping it at 6.7654, the same as last year. The City’s Capital Improvement plan was also approved providing for city-wide enhancements to Parks, Utilities, Streetscapes and Public Work related items totaling $14,020,805. These items continue to revitalize the City of Miramar’s quality of life for its residents, businesses and guests. They remain to be a collective part of a plan to improve the community into the year 2022.
