[ARCHIVED] ANNUAL BUDGET AND CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PLAN IS ADOPTED WITH NO CHANGE IN MILLAGE RATE!

The City of Miramar held a Special Budget Hearing at 5:01 p.m., September 27, 2018 to adopt the City’s 2017-18 Budget at its 2nd reading.  The passing of the 2017-18 budget has solidified no change in the millage rate keeping it at 6.7654, the same as last year.  The City’s Capital Improvement plan was also approved providing for city-wide enhancements to Parks, Utilities, Streetscapes and Public Work related items totaling $14,020,805.  These items continue to revitalize the City of Miramar’s quality of life for its residents, businesses and guests. They remain to be a collective part of a plan to improve the community into the year 2022.

In response to the passing of the 2017-18 budget, Mayor Wayne Messam stated, “The Miramar Commission is pleased about this year's budget that adequately funds our operations while holding the line on taxes.
