Emergency Miramar Assistance Program (E.M.A.P.)
EMAP is an emergency assistance program designed to alleviate a crisis. This assistance program is designed for Miramar residents, who meet the criteria and are who are in need of financial assistance with past due utility bills or rent up to $1000.00 per year.
Required Items for Program Assistance
- Picture ID (Valid Florida ID with Miramar address)
- Proof of Income (Paystubs and Bank Statement within the last 30 days)
- Social Security Card

Hardship Assistance Program (H.A.P)
HAP offers grants up to $5000.00 to Miramar residents meet the criteria. Funds can be used for household hardships such as code violations, AC repair/replacement and plumbing repairs.

- Proof of Income (Paystubs and Bank Statement within the last 30 days)
- Social Security Card

Hardship Exemption Application (Fire Fee)
The City of Miramar will accept applications for a Residential Hardship Exemption for the Fire Protection Assessment Fee for the previous tax year beginning on May 1st through July 31st. Qualified homeowners must meet strict income and residence eligibility criteria. Applications are available at the Multi-Service Complex facility or can be downloaded here.
Applicants must submit a completed application, with copies of all required documentation prior to July 31, of the current year, to: City of Miramar, Multi-Service Complex , Attention: Fire Fee Hardship Exemption 6700 Miramar Parkway, Miramar, Florida, 33023.
