The City of Miramar has mobilized a citywide relief effort to support persons in Venezuela following the devastating earthquakes.
Motorists can expect congestion and travel delays along major corridors, including County Line Road, Miramar Parkway, Red Road, and University Drive, particularly before and after scheduled matches.
As part of its Comprehensive Water Conservation program, the South Florida Water Management District has established a Year-Round Landscape Irrigation Rule under Chapter 40E-24, Florida Administrative Code (F.A.C.). This Rule calls for year-round and permanent landscape irrigation measures that designed to promote water conservation through the efficient use of water landscape (includes lawns) irrigation. The Year-Round Landscape Irrigation Rule applies to all landscape irrigation from all water sources, including public or privately-owned water utility systems, private wells or private connections to surface water bodies (ponds, lakes, canals, etc.), with the following exceptions:

In general, NO watering of lawns and landscapes is allowed on Monday, Tuesday, and Fridays.
The City of Miramar, in partnership with Broward County, is offering rebates for installation of EPA WaterSense-labeled smart irrigation controllers and pressure regulating spray bodies. To be eligible you must have a working, city water irrigation system at your home. Qualifying applicants receive an irrigation system evaluation from Broward County staff, a report detailing how to improve your system and a conservation kit.
