The plant is regulated to produce nearly six million gallons of water per day. The plant services residents living east of Palm Avenue to South State Road 7 (441).
Originally built in the late 50’s, the plant continues to service residents with safe potable drinking water. The plant has gone extensive renovation and in 2019 transitioned from a lime softening process to reverse osmosis/nanofiltration process. This process allows us to treat surface and fresh ground water without any chemicals utilizing pressure to push the water through a filtration process. It is the most advance filtration technology for treating drinking water in today’s market. If you would like to learn more about Reverse Osmosis, click on the link → Reverse Osmosis
The City of Miramar would like to say THANK YOU to all the residents for their patience during our construction process.
