Did you know that a variety of programs and services provided by the City is funded by your property tax dollars?
If approved, the homestead property tax exemption increases from $50,000 to $150,000, beginning January 1, 2027 and further increase the exemption to $250,000 beginning January 1, 2028. It will also reduce the largest local revenue source and the cap on annual assessment increases for non-homestead properties from 10% to 5%. Such reductions would impact City programs and services funded by property tax.
