Miramar, FL - June 24, 2025 - This July, the City of Miramar proudly joins communities nationwide in celebrating Park and Recreation Month, recognizing the vital role parks and recreation play in strengthening communities and enhancing quality of life. Under the theme "Build Together, Play Together", residents are invited to take part in a monthlong lineup of fun and inclusive activities for all ages and abilities.
From Mingle Mondays and Trail Tuesdays to Wellness Wednesdays and Playground Thursdays, Miramar will offer something for everyone. Additional highlights include Fourth of July fireworks, a spectacular drone show, outdoor fitness sessions, and exciting summer camp programs.
The City of Miramar is also proud to partner with the National Recreation and Park Association (NRPA) to encourage residents to share their personal stories about how parks have impacted their lives. Residents can participate on social media platforms using the hashtag #BuildTogetherPlayTogether.
“Parks and recreation are the foundation of a strong, healthy, and connected community,” said Billy Neal, Parks and Recreation Director. “From promoting wellness and social equity to protecting green space and providing safe places to play, our parks bring people together and improve lives. Parks and Recreation Month is a great opportunity to celebrate all that we’ve accomplished and recommit to building an even better future through parks.”
