Venezuela Earthquake

Recognizing the strong ties between Miramar and the Venezuelan community, the City of Miramar is launching a humanitarian relief effort in partnership with Global Empowerment Mission (GEM) to collect urgently needed supplies for persons affected by the earthquakes.

How to Help
The City of Miramar is accepting the following in-kind donations:

  • Nonperishable food
  • Water
  • Emergency supplies (e.g., batteries, blankets, first aid kits)
  • Hygiene products, including hand sanitizers
  • Baby supplies 
  • Disposable diapers (Adult and Children)
  • Pet Supplies
  • Protective Gear (e.g., gloves, KN95 masks, etc.)
  • Cleanup & repair supplies (e.g., tarps, duck tapes, industrial trash bags, shovels, etc.)

Note: GEM will coordinate the transportation and distribution of donated supplies directly to impacted communities in Venezuela and cannot accept clothing, shoes, linens, or similar items.
