FIFA World Cup 2026™: Traffic Delays Expected in Miramar June 15 – July 18
As the FIFA World Cup 2026™ comes to South Florida, residents and visitors should anticipate increased traffic volumes on select match days due to Miramar's proximity to the tournament venue in neighboring Miami Gardens.

Motorists can expect congestion and travel delays along major corridors, including County Line Road, Miramar Parkway, Red Road, and University Drive, particularly before and after scheduled matches. Allow extra travel time near Florida’s Turnpike, I-75, and surrounding southbound corridors.
The Miramar Police Department encourages everyone to plan ahead, allow extra travel time, consider alternate routes when possible, and use navigation apps for real-time traffic updates.

A PIO is always on-call for emergencies and for significant breaking news events, after hours and on weekends. The on-call PIO will generally not have information regarding non-fatal car crashes, routine arrests, crimes not resulting in death or critical injury, or the status of cases that are not considered breaking news.
